Jess started her competitive career in figure skating at the age of 5. Within 2 years she became the ISI World Figure Skating finalist. At the age of 12, Jess began her ballroom career at SuperShag. She soon found out she was extremely talented and passionate about her ballroom dancing and started to pursue it full-time as a pro-am dancer. Within her first year competing she became the San Diego Dancesport Junior Latin & Rhythm, champion. Her competitive career took her all over the US to compete and culminated with her becomomg the World Junior Rhythm Champion in 2009. Jess still continues to train and compete. Her coaches include Diana McDonald, Rufus Dustin, Marianne Nicole, and Margret Redman. She enjoys working with students from beginner through top competitors. Jess has also trained in hip hop, jazz, and lyrical dance.
